For Rose

 This little cutie was created for Rose's birthday, and mom was recruited for the word/thought bubbles and lettering. The rest of the coloring is all Bobbi.

Back into coloring

 After a long hiatus, Bobbi's broken out the colored pencils again, and a good thing, too.

Nice example of a metallic finish on the armor, and filling the background beyond the line drawing with her own creation of a texture.

A quick one

 Bobbi colored this one in two hours! That's got to be a record for her! Usually she works slowly, and often over a few sittings over a few days, but this one she wanted to get done for the morning, so sat down and whipped it out! You can see that the strokes on the shirt are quicker and looser, but I think it is quite effective, and if anything, brings your attention to the face where things are a little crisper.

Again, she's working from a line drawing she found on the internet.

Happy cat

 The cat on this card is a nod to Bridget, our cat who died at the ripe old age of 19 - a gorgeous calico. Bobbi is enjoying using complementary colors - the green and the orange, and the more subtle blue and orange of the sky.

Princess Diana

 Dramatic lighting on a internet-found portrait of Princess Diana, colored as a thank you card for a teacher. Each of the students is pitching in in their own way for an end of the year surprise and Bobbi was chosen (no surprise!) to color a card for everyone to sign.

I may try to get a better photo in the daylight - the use of her favorite neon orange pencil on the crown just doesn't show well here.

Another rendering of an image found on the internet - love the shadows and the sense of setting sun (it's a good-bye card), but also the firm brightness in his eyes and the warm highlights on the hair and buckle that suggest new horizons.
